As a Tower Crane and Hoist Planning Engineer, you will develop method statements, lifting plans, steel fabrication drawings, and CAD documentation to support the erection and dismantling of tower cranes and construction hoists. You will play a key role in translating complex engineering requirements into practical onsite solutions while ensuring full safety and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for crane and hoist erection/dismantling
- Recommend mobile crane capacities based on lifting loads and site logistics
- Develop lifting plans and technical documentation that meet safety standards
- Create steel fabrication drawings for custom components (tie-ins, supports, etc.)
- Generate detailed CAD shop drawings for crane positioning, foundations, bracing, and clearances
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and HSE teams to align site logistics and structural constraints
- Attend site inspections to assess installation feasibility and provide technical guidance
- Support procurement and fabrication with precise documentation and technical clarification
- Maintain control of drawing revisions and documentation across all project phases
- Communicate engineering concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Bachelor\’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in tower crane and hoist planning for large construction projects
- Expertise in AutoCAD and steel fabrication detailing
- Proven knowledge of mobile crane capacities and crane chart interpretation
- Familiarity with UAE construction safety standards and lifting regulations
- Strong ability to interpret design briefs and translate into technical CAD deliverables
- Site coordination and logistics planning experience is a must
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
