The Opportunity
Ramsay Surgical Centre Cairns is seeking an experienced Patient Care Assistant to join our dynamic, friendly team on a permanent full-time basis.
Our ideal candidate will have experience as a Theatre Orderly. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with and supporting clinical staff
- Performing cleaning and waste removal tasks
- Ensuring surgical theatres are appropriately set up and equipment is thoroughly checked.
- Assisting with patient position for theatre
- High level cleaning of theatre post-surgery
- Transporting patients.

Your Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Patient Care Assistant
- Theatre Orderly experience highly regarded
- Certification (Cert 3) in Health Service Assistance
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability for various shifts within a 7-day rotating roster
- A proactive willingness to learn and acquire a good understanding of hospital procedures
- Motivated and positive attitude with a meticulous attention to detail
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $25.73 – $31.05 + superannuation, based on experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
