As a Demi Chef De Partie in Dubai, you will support the Chef de Partie by managing a section of the kitchen, handling mise-en-place, and preparing high-quality dishes aligned with Jumeirah’s culinary standards. This role involves food production, stock rotation, hygiene compliance, and collaboration with the kitchen brigade to ensure smooth and consistent kitchen operations.Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily food prep and service based on menu requirements and chef instructions
- Maintain quality, portion control, and presentation as per recipe index
- Assist in coordinating kitchen section activities and shift organization
- Handle kitchen requisitions, stock rotation, and documentation with accuracy
- Ensure hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness of all workstations
- Report equipment issues and support kitchen efficiency with proactive teamwork
- Contribute to staff training and maintain a positive working environment
Job Requirements
- Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- 3-4 years of experience in professional kitchens, preferably in luxury hotels or fine dining
- Strong skills in food presentation, cooking methods, and mise-en-place
- Knowledge of kitchen inventory procedures and HACCP standards
- Ability to follow directions, communicate effectively, and work under pressure
- Flexible, team-oriented, and passionate about culinary excellence
