As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting food items in accordance with Marriott\’s high standards. This includes everything from portioning and garnishing to maintaining food safety and collaborating with the culinary team. You’ll ensure guests receive delicious, timely, and consistent meals that enhance their experience.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook food following recipes and standards
- Regulate cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, and broilers
- Maintain daily food logs and monitor food inventory
- Ensure proper food portioning, garnishing, and presentation
- Thaw, store, and handle ingredients according to safety procedures
- Communicate with service staff and kitchen team about specials and shortages
- Assist with cold food preparation and setup
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the chef or supervisor
Job Requirements
- Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma preferred
- Minimum 3 years of relevant cooking experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- No supervisory experience required
