As an Engineering Technician at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operational readiness of hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical equipment, and preventive maintenance programs. This role requires hands-on experience, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude in maintaining five-star standards.Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and hotel equipment
- Inspect and calibrate meters, gauges, and control systems
- Maintain logs for inventory, purchase orders, and maintenance records
- Ensure proper safety procedures and use of protective equipment
- Assist in guest service needs through efficient repair solutions
- Operate power lifts and move objects up to 75 pounds
- Support hotel efficiency through process improvement suggestions
- Follow all safety, security, and property protection policies
Job Requirements
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
- 4 to 6 years of related engineering or facility maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Physically fit with ability to lift and maneuver equipment
- Knowledge of hotel systems, HVAC, electrical panels, and safety compliance
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Team player with attention to detail and customer service mindset
