The Sous Chef will lead kitchen operations and ensure food quality, team performance, and guest satisfaction. This role requires hands-on supervision, recipe development, staff scheduling, and coordination with internal teams to meet culinary standards across all dining venues at Jumeirah Al Qasr.Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide kitchen staff to uphold Jumeirah’s high culinary standards
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe creation, food tasting, and kitchen meetings
  • Prepare product specifications and maintain accurate standard recipes
  • Manage team schedules, leave, overtime, and daily attendance adjustments
  • Collaborate with the stewarding team to uphold hygiene and cleanliness
  • Train and motivate kitchen team members, ensuring efficient kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and HACCP protocols

Job Requirements

  • UAE National with a Family Book as per legal requirement
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position in a 5-star hotel or upscale restaurant
  • Diploma in Catering or Culinary Arts; Food Safety certification is a plus
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations software such as Opera PMS (Cloud), HotSoS, and Microsoft Office
