Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

The SAP Basis Administrator provides comprehensive SAP Basis administration and support as part of PACCARs SAP Center of Expertise. This position provides guidance and leadership in the areas of system maintenance, technologies, architecture, product roadmap design, and incident resolution.

Successful candidates are comfortable working with SAP HANA, S4, , Fiori, Sidecar, SAP ECC 6.0, SAP NetWeaver 7.x – BW 7.x and Portal 7.x, SAP Solution Manager 7.x, ChaRM, and SAP PI 7.x. Candidates have demonstrated experience performing installations, upgrades, federated portal configuration, SPAM/SAINT upgrades, JSPM upgrades, support pack and enhancement packs upgrade, performance tuning, maintenance planner, Early Watch configuration, configure CTS+, diagnostic setup for end-to-end analysis, system landscape directory(SLD) configuration, and ABAP proxy configuration.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

Provide production support of multi-tiered environment, including 24×7 on-call support as required.

Demonstrate ability to plan, organize and complete work with little or no supervision while keeping management fully informed of plans and progress.

Act as information resource and internal consultant for SAP systems by performing systems analysis and requirements gathering.

Evaluates new versions or updates to systems to determine feasibility for use, prepares detailed plans for adoption, and makes recommendations to IT management. Upon approval, installs, tests, documents, and supports new versions or updates to SAP software; requires high levels of coordination with other IT groups, vendors, and PACCAR stakeholders.

Develop detailed plans, diagrams, and documentation to implement company-wide projects, communicating with and coordinating among vendors, end users, and Information Technology staff. Projects may be highly complex, introduce new technology, or have advanced requirements for integration with other systems.

Document and enforce departmental policies and standards, develop and maintains system solutions that maximize quality, performance, availability, scalability and security.

Responsible for proactive system monitoring and tuning for all SAP systems. This includes key performance indicators and trend reporting.

Acts as a source for direction, training and guidance for less experienced departmental staff.

Qualifications

5+ years SAP Basis Administration, to include Oracle, and AIX/Linux OS.

3+ years of SAP HANA experience

Experience implementing or upgrading SAP landscapes.

Experience with SAP NetWeaver, PI/PO configuration and administration.

Experience monitoring ABAP dumps and database locks.

Experience using SAP Solution Manager for end-to-end system monitoring and alerting.

Experience in SAP kernel updates, SAP plug-in, landscape management, transports, printer setups and troubleshooting.

Experience in creating SAP client copies and deletions.

SAP BTP Cloud experience is a plus

SAP LVM/LAMA experience is a plus

Maintain high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines

Ability in all areas of technical writing skills for information or infrastructure systems.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
