The Opportunity

Embark on a transformative role within the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT), where you will make a strong contribution to strategic future planning efforts, embedding Indigenous knowledge across programs and elevating cultural capabilities in IT. As the Indigenous Communities Engagement Manager, you’ll spearhead community engagement initiatives, manage projects, including the National Indigenous Space Academy (NISA). and represent the Faculty on Indigenous matters. Your versatile skills will contribute to the review and development of policies relevant to the Faculty, forming meaningful partnerships, and impactful communication.

The Indigenous Communities Engagement Manager will have postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. The ideal candidate will also have strong Indigenous identity with proven connections and leadership to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and knowledge of relevant community protocols and a proven record of successfully working with Indigenous Communities progressing their cultural, entrepreneurial and economic aspirations.
