Position Description
The SAP Developer is responsible for working within the framework of a team on technical projects and requirement-gathering sessions. This team member works on detailed application design and architecture concepts, performs research, evaluates relevant technologies, and presents alternative solutions. The SAP Developer develops, documents, and performs unit testing of software in SAP to ensure that it meets the end-users needs and achieves business goals. The SAP Developer also assists in the technical aspects of all project deliverables, provides technical guidance as necessary, and manages various development tasks related to turnkey projects and ongoing support of the organization.
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of ABAP programming experience in user-exits, ALV reports, Web Dynpro, Interfaces, Workflows, BAPI, BAdIs, Smartforms, Adobe Forms, LSMW, dialog programs, RESTful services using OData, and HANA calculation views.
- Experience with developing custom SAP Fiori Apps and modifying standard apps is required.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of ABAP Objects and modern ABAP (7.40+) is required.
- Recent experience with SAP ERP 6.0 (preferably EHP 6+) and hands-on knowledge of multiple SAP modules such as FI, CO, PLM, SD, WM, QM, HCM, and PM.
- Understanding relational databases (RDBMS) and Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Good analytical skills, including the ability to quickly grasp technical information.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
- Knowledge of SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), Fiori Elements, and SAP BTP is preferred but not required.
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Knowledge of SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), Fiori Elements, and SAP BTP.
- Experience in ABAP programming for SAP HCM module (PA, OM, BEN, TM, Recruitment).
- Understanding and experience in cGMP validated environment.
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $90000 – $130000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
