Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, working a variety of shifts.
About the Role
This is dual role of menu assistant duties and catering assistant duties.
Reporting to the Catering Manager, you’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Customer service
- Taking patient meal orders via Chefmax menu management system
- Allergen screening
- Setting up, plating and distributing patient meals and beverages.
- Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards
- Dishwashing
- Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a positive and energetic team player with a passion for catering services. Experience in a similar food service setting will be highly regarded, especially in a clinical setting.
Ideally you will also bring:
- Previous experience in a hospital or hospitality environment
- Previous customer service experience is essential
- Ability to use computer-based menu, allergen and meal ordering systems
- Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $27.87 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
