Job description: DescriptionYour role at GEI.We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Web Application Developer with experience in either .NET or Java technologies to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. This position requires a solid foundation in backend development, RESTful API design, and front-end integration.Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Design, develop and test data driving web applications using .NET (C#) or Java (Spring Boot).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, UI/UX, DevOps, and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate with external/internal systems and databases.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
- Identify and troubleshoot software defects and performance issues.
- Assist in application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in development, test, and production environments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- 3-5 years of experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- 3-5 years of experience developing full-stack web applications using either .NET Stack: ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework; or Java Stack: Java 8+, Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
