The Relationship Manager Commercial Banking – Abu Dhabi UAE is responsible for originating, growing, and managing a portfolio of commercial clients. The role includes acquiring new business, monitoring credit performance, maximizing product penetration, and ensuring timely resolution of service issues. It also requires proactive engagement with senior client stakeholders to understand banking needs and deliver customized solutions.Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring a balance between lending and non-lending relationships
- Drive acquisition of new clients and deepen relationships with existing customers
- Deliver banking solutions tailored to the needs of medium-sized enterprises across various sectors
- Prepare and initiate credit proposals for borrowing customers in coordination with internal risk teams
- Monitor financial performance, covenant compliance, and transactional activity
- Maintain and grow a strong sales pipeline with accurate and updated data
- Conduct financial and credit analysis to support onboarding and portfolio expansion
- Ensure client satisfaction through high service standards and timely resolution of issues
- Drive revenue growth by maximizing share of wallet across all bank products
- Support service recovery and coordinate with internal departments for escalation resolution
- Engage with decision-makers (CEOs/CFOs) to understand strategic financial needs
- Adhere to all internal policies, compliance regulations, and ethical guidelines
- Contribute to a value-driven culture and promote team collaboration
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial, corporate, or business banking
- At least 3 years managing borrowing customers within commercial banking segments
- Strong understanding of credit policies, financial products, and lending structures
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to originate and convert leads into sustainable client relationships
- Proficiency in financial analysis and credit documentation processes
- Knowledge of UAE’s commercial banking sector and local market dynamics is preferred
