Job description: We are looking for a Director of Patient Access to lead initiatives within a well-established and expanding healthcare organization located in Humboldt County Northern California that provides comprehensive care across multiple service locations. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact patient experience and operational efficiency.Salary: $120,000 to $135,000 per year depending on experience.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Enhance Patient Access: Direct initiatives across the system to improve timely, patient-centered care, collaborating with various departments and leadership.
- Standardize Front Office Operations: Lead the implementation and monitoring of standardized workflows for registration, scheduling, call center, and front office functions.
- Ensure Compliance & Expertise: Maintain subject matter expertise and ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and payer requirements for front office practices.
- Oversee Centralized Call Center: Manage the development and daily operations of the call center to ensure consistency, efficiency, and positive patient experiences.
- Support & Develop Front Office Leadership: Support Office Managers through best practices, mentorship, and professional growth; partner on recruitment, onboarding, and training of front office staff.
- Drive Operational Improvement: Monitor performance using data, lead relevant operational meetings, collaborate on patient flow optimization, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and ethical leadership.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Initiative & Relationship Management: Proven ability to direct large-scale initiatives and build strong relationships across a diverse workforce.
- Operational & Systems Expertise: Strong understanding of call center and front office management principles, best practices, and systems.
- Project & Financial Acumen: Experience in project management, budget development, and oversight.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Understanding of the mission, healthcare delivery, clinical support roles, operations, patient flow, and documentation.
- Leadership & Communication Skills: Proficiency in leadership, communication, training, change management, team development, group dynamics, and conflict resolution.
- Technical & Administrative Proficiency: Ability to prepare reports, analyze data, instruct staff, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Epic EMR; reliable transportation and adherence to policies required.
Expected salary: $120000 – 135000 per year
