Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and self-directed Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Professional to support our ongoing sustainability, compliance, and risk reduction efforts at the Louisville, KY site. This manufacturing site offers the EHS professional an opportunity to try new things, expand the range of discipline knowledge, work with manufacturing and support teams to foster employee engagement, drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program.What You Will DoRecognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions.Serve as hands-on, collaborative partner to create and implement EHS initiatives that drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of safety for our employees and contractors.Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors.Investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place.Interact with employees and promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.Execute initiatives, programs, reports, and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.Support the site’s environmental compliance programs, including, but not limited to, hazardous waste management, stormwater and ground-water protection plans, air quality permitting, wastewater, and toxic chemical reporting.Develop, implement, maintain sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases in alignment with the site’s long-term goals.Interpret and audit current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g. OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA)Work with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirementsPosition requires limited travel for participation in company seminars, EHS audits and training opportunities.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related fieldExperience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Demonstrated experience in Industrial Hygiene (IH) initiatives including IH monitoring and industrial/office ergonomic assessments.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
