As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.The After School Program Coordinator assists with the operation, planning and implementation of the ASP program collaboratively with the Resident Service Manager. Work with other on-site staff and volunteers. Support and monitor program outcomes. Engage with youth and parents to support after-school programming.We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This is an onsite position.Decatur Place is an affordable housing apartment community in Denver housing low-income families, many of whom are formerly unhoused.Pay: $20.00-23.00/hourBenefits:

Duties:

  • Provide quality programs to Mercy residents in one or more settings. Adjust programs to ensure effectiveness.
  • Work cooperatively with site staff to carry out Mercy’s mission, philosophy, on-site goals and perform outreach activities.
  • Maintain program spaces in good condition; coordinates use of program space as necessary in accordance with state regulations.
  • Work cooperatively with other service providers and community partners to ensure quality services and opportunities for residents.
  • Collect data and monitor progress toward desired outcomes on an on-going basis for data collection and metrics, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or GED equivalent.
  • Three (3) months of full-time or equivalent part-time satisfactory and verifiable experience with school-age children in such areas as Sunday school, scouts, sports, or baby-sitting.
  • 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Self-directed.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Effective problem solving and creative thinking skills.

This is a brief description of the position.

Expected salary: $20 – 23 per hour
