Job description: Will perform system requirements analysis and application design, development, and implementation. Will develop applications based on user requirements including user interface and design, and database development. Develop system prototype and production applications; develop and maintain scripts; troubleshoot and resolve problems; maintain source code versioning; and application IT security tasks. Will develop source code and complete system and user documentationRequired Skills4+ years of experience designing and/or developing scientific applications. Must have experience with data modeling, software prototypingRequires experience with: ASP.NET; C#; AJAX; XML; T-SQL; JSON; XML; HTML; CSS and, and SQL server, preferred. Requires good written and verbal communication skills.Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility.EducationBS in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent.Required Skills:4+ years of experience in full life cycle software development including designing and/or developing scientific applications.Must have experience with: ASP.NET; C#; CSS; AJAX; SQL Server; T-SQL;jQuery,Bootstrap,AJAX,knockout.js, RequireJS,DurandalJS or AngularJS or other JavaScript MVW FrameworkSoftware Architectural Pattern: Model-view-view model (MVVM), RESTful Web Services, Single Page Web Application FrameworkGIS: ArcGIS JavaScript API, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS ProRequires good written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with NWS’s warning and forecast products, observational data, operational procedures and instructions are a plus.Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility.
Expected salary: $90000 – 100000 per year
