Responsible for the total commercial sponsorship and advertising
program including but not limited to the planning, organizing, administering, tracking funds received and monitoring of the commercial sponsorship and advertising programs. Develops a diversified commercial sponsorship and advertising program. Solicits sponsorship and advertising through advertisements, letters, and personal contacts. Develops collateral materials in support of the solicitation. Develops proposal packages and negotiates best terms for MCCS. Initiates agreements and ensures they are agreed to/signed by the appropriate person. Drafts sponsorship agreements and coordinates staff actions with the appropriate agencies, such as legal counsel and Finance Division. Ensures the development and completion of evaluation/follow-up reports. Develops training and education materials on event marketing and commercial sponsorship for MCCS departments.Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, and take appropriate action.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. EVALUATIONS:QualificationsFour years of experience that demonstrate the ability to research companies for commercial sponsorship, identify key personnel to contact, and negotiate terms of a contract and supervise employees. Excellent communication skills both written and oral to solicit commercial sponsorship and negotiate agreements and to write after action reports. Ability to interpret DoD and USMC policies concerning sponsorship agreements and contracts.
