As a Senior SAP Developer, you will have the unique opportunity to partner with our client onsite two days a week, developing and implementing SAP Finance modules following the proven agile methodology.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Senior SAP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing SAP Finance modules following Agile methodologies, and providing technical leadership to the team. You will also continuously improve team processes, stay up-to-date with the latest SAP Hana technologies, and solve complex problems related to the SAP Finance platform.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing on the SAP Hana platform and driving value in these complex projects. The candidate will be an exemplary team player that can influence and negotiate decisions across all levels of the project to maximize value delivery.

  • Development and Implementation: Develop and implement SAP Finance modules following the proven agile methodology. This includes writing, testing, and debugging code.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and other team members to ensure alignment and collaboration. This includes participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the team. This includes mentoring junior developers, making architectural decisions, and ensuring the quality of the codebase.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the Agile processes within the team. This includes conducting retrospectives and implementing changes to increase the team’s efficiency.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Keep up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices. This includes continuous learning and professional development.
  • Problem Solving: Solve complex problems related to the SAP Finance platform. This includes debugging issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring the scalability and security of the system.
  • Develop and maintain broad and deep knowledge/ expertise on Client business and technology landscape with respect to engagements to ensure excellent delivery and contribute to a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Participate in defining project change requests and ensure that they are properly documented for approval.
  • Support business development and account management activities where needed

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a SAP Developer is crucial.
  • Experience with ABAP development with emphasis on SAP FI (AR/AP/GL/FA) is required.
  • Experience in troubleshooting performance problems with SAP Business Objects software such as Web Intelligence, Universes, Crystal Reports, and BOBJ server is desired.
  • SAP BPC experience is a plus.
  • Ability to resolve time sensitive issues in a fast paced production environment while maintaining strong internal and external customer relationships is needed.
  • Experience with SAP financial modules including GL, BPC and A/P is required.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Proven experience in delivering value in a complex project and/or agile delivery team.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of technology deployed in the business area.
  • Proficiency in ABAP Objects, ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Reports, ABAP online transactions, ALE development and maintenance, BAPIs, Batch programming, Function modules and other development objects, and Global classes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $96,500 – $185,800.
