Job description: Core Responsibilities ▪ Develop, execute and manage finance strategy aligned to the overall SANADAK strategy and vision ▪ Lead the development and implementation of financial and accounting policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and address issues of non-adherence ▪ Work with executive leadership team to continuously identify challenges and opportunities, develop solutions and define and execute appropriate financial strategies to support them ▪ Develop SANADAK budgeting policies and processes and ensure that budgeting activities are embedded in the department’s plans and activities ▪ Oversee the preparation, management and reporting of periodic budgets ▪ Present financial statistics and insights to the Board of Directors. ▪ Develop and implement KPIs to continuously evaluate and measure the effectiveness of Finance department’s activities ▪ Ensure that investment transactions are in line with the accounting system and reserve management policy ▪ Ensure that business risk controls related to investment transactions have been appropriately and effectively maintained, reviewed and implemented ▪ Oversee that ongoing accounting procedures related to reserve management transactions are in line with approved accounting policies and procedures ▪ Oversee the funding framework. Regularly review and ensure all levies and fees imposed on Licensed Financial Institutions and Insurance Companies are sufficient to fund SANADAK operations. ▪ Participate in annual and interim audits ▪ Lead the development of timely and accurate financial management and statistical reports for SANADAK based on standard, statutory regulations and ad hoc requirements ▪ Monitor on a regular basis the proper maintenance of accounting records and adequate accounting control and services ▪ Ensure that accurate and comprehensive periodic management reports have been delivered for appropriate financial reporting ▪ Keep abreast with international and local financial / accounting principles, regulations, practices, local laws and regulations ▪ Stay up-to-date with industry innovation and technology in the financial sector and use the appropriate ones to enhance SANADAK communication internally and externally 2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Threshold Qualifications ▪ Bachelor or Master Degree preferably in Accounting / Finance ▪ Professional accounting / finance qualification is an advantage (CPA, ACCA) ▪ Proficient in the Arabic and English Languages Years & Nature of Experience ▪ 12+ years of experience with at least 8+ years of strong experience in a similar role ▪ 8+ years working experience in the UAE, with appropriate familiarity with the UAE market and regulations KEY INTERACTIONS Internal External ▪ All the departments for matters pertaining to financial control such as budgets, expenses, cost allocations, financial transactions and reporting ▪ Auditors ▪ Vendors / Suppliers of Goods and Services ▪ Banks and Financial Institutions Employee’s Signature Name Signature Department Head’s Signature Name Signature Human Capital’s Signature Name Signature ▪ Providing sound financial assistance and information to management in order for it to make important business decisions ▪ Lead by example and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher-level roles ▪ Perform any other duties outside the scope as and when required
Expected salary: 65000 – 75000 per year
