Gender: AnyWhat Does a Hatch Operations Foreman Do?– Supervise hatch cover operations during container vessel berthing and departure
– Ensure proper coordination between crane operators, deck crews, and yard teams
– Monitor safety standards during hatch opening, container movement, and lashing activities
– Communicate loading/unloading progress with terminal planners and vessel agents
– Coordinate manpower and equipment allocation for each operation shift
– Conduct pre-operation briefings and ensure all personnel are clear on job responsibilities
– Provide immediate solutions for delays, equipment issues, or operational hazards
– Maintain records of vessel operations and report on performance metrics and incidents
– Ensure compliance with DP World’s safety, quality, and operational policies

– Ensure cargo handling activities meet terminal efficiency and safety targets

– Document and report operational performance and safety incidents
– Support training of junior team members and act as a role model for safety and disciplineWhat Skills Are Needed for a Hatch Operations Foreman in Dubai?Education & Experience:
– High school diploma or technical training in logistics, marine, or port operations
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience in terminal or cargo operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
– Familiarity with container terminal operations, hatch cover systems, and marine cargo proceduresTechnical Skills:
– Understanding of port safety regulations and crane operation coordination
– Basic reporting and documentation skills
