· Full-Time / 40 hours per week
· Rotating/Variable ShiftPOSITION HIGHLIGHTS
· Regularly assign and coordinate the technical and distribution functions for the medication access teams
· Lead medication access staff pharmacy technicians and others in daily operations of the medication access teams
· Schedule pharmacy technician staff, coordinate training of new staff pharmacy technicians, develop and implement procedures and programs, and perform technical and distributive pharmacy technician dutiesPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Direct the instruction and training of medication access technician staff regarding technical and distributive functions for the medication access teams.
· Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies.
· Direct the work of interns, students, and pharmacy technicians on the medication access teams.
· Assure that policies and procedures are updated and followed in coordination with the Medication Access Pharmacy Technician Manager and Assistant Director.
· Assure adequate medication inventory is stocked and coordinate ordering of supplies.
· Participate in process improvement programs including implementing, evaluating and monitoring of new programs and initiatives.
· Provide assistance and support to the medication access technician staff working on third party billing issues.
· Perform the duties of a Pharmacy Technician IIREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician II OR equivalent education/experience.LEGAL REQUIREMENT
