Job description: Patient Access CoordinatorLocation: San Antonio, TXJob DescriptionAs a Patient Access Coordinator, you will work with 2-3 different EMR systems to manage patient check-ins and check-outs, verify dates of birth and insurance, collect payments, create appointments, and handle patient communications for no-shows or rescheduling. You will also be responsible for sending out dictated letters from doctors to patients via email.Responsibilities

  • Experience with electronic health records
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Patient care and education
  • Insurance verification
  • 6 months – 1 year of medical experience (preferably ophthalmology)
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Experience in an environment with 60+ patients per day
  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Data entry
  • Front desk experience

Work Environment

  • This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM. Some overtime and travel to other clinics within SATX are expected. On travel days, you will be driven by the team and paid for the travel time. This is a highly collaborative role, working alongside other patient access coordinators and directly with physicians

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 – $19.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
