Job description: Job Description :A multinational Jebel Ali based company are recruiting an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing payroll processes, supporting HR functions, administering employee benefits, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of payroll systems and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Management:
- Process and manage the company’s payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, overtime, bonuses, gratuity and any deductions.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in payroll status.
- Calculate monthly overtime and analyze the reasons for any increase, etc.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll queries promptly.
- Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management review and approval.
- Prepare the budget for new fiscal year and annual reports.
HR Support
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, including collecting necessary documentation and setting up payroll records.
- Collaborate with the HR department to manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, and leave entitlements.
- Support HR activities such as performance reviews, employee relations, and policy implementation.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
Admin Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR and payroll systems (e.g.GreytHR, E-Passport, Talentsoft).
- Prepare employee correspondence, including payslips, employee announcements and notices.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and information exchange.
- Organize the renewal of office insurances.
- Assist admin with administrative tasks.
Compliance
- Back-up of Compliance Assistant in ensuring compliance with UAE Labor laws and best practices.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
- Proven 3-5 years’ experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing and relevant laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software like ERP, Sage, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Expected salary: 10000 per month
