Until FilledPosition: Student & Family Services Instructor for the Multilingual Summer Academy (at Park Brook Elementary)General Purpose of Job
- Assist facilitator and staff with student needs.
- Provide a variety of alternative learning techniques and experiences for the students.
- Work with the summer nurse if applicable to assess student needs.
- Provide guidance to staff, parents, students, and families.
- Develop early interventions and accommodations for students who may be experiencing difficulty academically, emotionally, or socially.
- Use classroom instruction and activities to help children solve problems, learn coping strategies, manage conflict, foster tolerance and develop effective social skills.
- Assist with the PBIS summer planning and work to support each student.
- Develop opportunities for and facilitate family involvement in the summer program.
- Help create master schedule and any student needs to ensure each scholar is successful in the program
Applications must be complete to be considered for this position.Minimum qualifications include:
- MN teaching license in appropriate field
Program Information (Student details): For multilingual students entering grades 2-5 in the fall of 2025
June 30, 2025 – July 31, 2025, with some pre-summer planning and meetings the week of June 23rd
Monday – Thursday
8:30-3:00
CLOSED July 3rd & 4th, 2025Hours:
8:00-3:30 (tentative hours, may vary on program need)FTE: Hourly, approximately 7-8 hours/day; 4 days/week (M-Th), for five weeks. Staff hours may vary slightly.
Salary: Licensed teachers ($35/hour Schedule D of the )
Employment Dates: June 30, 2025 – July 31, 2025, with some pre-summer planning and meetings the week of June 23rd
Benefits: Not included with this casual assignment.Other Details:
Summer Emergency Training – Must be completed before students attend.
All staff meetings – TBD in April, and/or May.
