Must have open availability any time any day of the week. Length of employment is limited to job assignment and/or project duration.Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to):
- Create and implement workplace HSE plans and procedures
- Evaluate HSE practices and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines
- Conduct accident prevention training to include HSE training
- Inspect and monitor projects for unsafe workplace conditions and acts
- Monitor employee conformity to HSE policies and procedures
- Investigate accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents
- Handle worker’s compensation claims in the event of a workplace accident
- Suggest solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for HSE issues
- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
- Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive HSE programs on premises or at project site locations.
- Provides project management team with guidance on HSE matters and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.

Education/Expérience :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelors degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred
- Certification within the Board of Certified Safety Professionals® (OHST, CHST, ASP, CSP) preferred
- Minimum 8 years large scale commercial, government, or industrial project experience; including at least 4 years management level within the HSE profession
Physical Requirements
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects while carrying tools and equipment
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- See well (naturally or with correction)
- Eyehand coordination
