Job description: Job Responsibilities and RequirementsThe Salesforce Developer/Analyst Sr. will play a key role in supporting on-going application enhancements as well as the technical delivery of projects in relation to the Salesforce CRM solution. This person is expected to conceptualize, plan, design, develop, implement, and support advanced cloud-based solutions using the latest technologies and development tools to improve the efficiency of operations and decision-making.This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, part analyst, and part developer. He/She will be responsible for executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the CRM platform.Project Management:Lead the ongoing development of the RSL Salesforce.com platform. Work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for application optimization, automation, customization, redesign, or development..Lead a strategy to ensure complete alignment of the platform’s capabilities and users with the Company’s strategic objectives.Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.Administration:Serve as in-house expert and primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment.Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks.Perform monthly, quarterly and annual analytics on overall utilization trends, transactional outcomes, and overall system ROI and effectiveness.Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization.Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams.Developer:Perform configuration and customization of the Salesforce.com platform.Design, develop and maintain a series of complex workflow rules and business processes as defined through documented business requirements.Utilize best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform.Partner with our Data Warehouse, Applications Development, and Web Applications teams to integrate Salesforce with Reliance Standard’s internal systems through a combination of batch processing as well as real-time, web service API-based communication.Ensure that all data shared with and/or stored in the cloud is subject to the security policies defined in our corporate data governance guidelines.Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations.Work with the RSL IS team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, IS, Analytics, or other field with equivalent and relevant experience.Minimum of five (5) years of Salesforce Administrative and Development experience.Proficiency in HTML, XML, Flex, JavaScript, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, SOAP-based web servicesExperience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE)Strong understanding of relational databasesStrong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexityPC proficiency, including MS Office Suite products as well as the ability to become proficient on required internal system applications on a timely basis.Excellent project management skills and a positive attitudeDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwardsCreative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationA documented history of successfully driving projects to completionAbility to understand and articulate complex requirementsAbility to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needsAbility to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processesAbility to Travel: Up to 10%The expected hiring range for this position is $98,180.00 – $131,060.00 annually for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
