Your Role – Come Join Our Team!In this role you will:As the Feature Engineering Manager you are responsible for designing and enacting best processes to ensure our shipped code is of the highest quality. In addition you are responsible for staffing our engineering team to enact the goals of our feature product team as determined by business needs and value.Typical Functions:
- Managing the primary feature engineering team.
- Working with Product to enact sprint and epic based goals based on team capacity.
- Ensuring tickets are up to date with proper information at all times.
- Spot testing tickets before they are sent to Product Acceptance.
- Working with direct reports to ensure productivity and personal growth.
- Holds monthly 1 on 1s with direct reports.
- Reports directly to the Director of Engineering progress and blockers in order to obtain feature product goals.
- Works closely with the FE and BE principal engineers to ensure code quality is maintained.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage Compensation, hiring, firing of employees, along with velocity allocations related to PTO requests
- Provide 90day and yearly reviews including compensation increases
- Provide mentorship and growth opportunities with individual direct reports.
- Work with Internal and External Stakeholders for requests, prioritization, and deliverables of road map items
- Be the scrum master by ensuring tickets are worked correctly, in order, and done on time
- Work with the team to refine processes to provide consistent delivery of feature work.
- Assist with PR’s
- Provide QA testing of features as they are completed to ensure we are delivering the highest quality product.
- Work with Product, Stakeholders and Business on timelines for releasing of integration features and functionality
- Work closely with other departments and teams as it relates to features, products and or functionality responsible for
- At times prototype, diagnose issues, and potentially help code short term roadmap goals and fixes as needed.

RequirementsIdeal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, including hands-on development and architecture.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C#, ASP.Net, SQL).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Expertise in system design and architecture.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience using the ProfitSword application. (Nice to have)
Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Proficient at communication, organization, and prioritization of tasks.
- Proficient at working with a team and motivating others.
- Proficient at managing one’s own time.
Work Environment:This position will be part of our Denver or Atlanta office. Candidates located outside of these Metro Areas will be reviewed and considered if necessary.We are a hybrid friendly company with office hubs located in Atlanta and Tampa, in addition to our new headquarters in downtown Denver.
