  • Inspect project sites by exercising initiative and authority in determining best method of courses of action with consideration given to in progress changes.
  • Review directives and criteria from using activities and Engineer offices outlining the requirements and fund limitations of proposed work.
  • Participate in on site pre-design conferences to disseminate project information and firmly establish scope of work.
  • Aid in assembly and presentation of all contract drawings, specifications, and other data required to solicit bids for construction.
  • Act as Engineering Division coordinator for the organizational segment charged with administering construction activities.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).Applicants who are NOT Current or Prior Federal Service EmployeesSpecialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting in performing engineering project planning, design OR project management; AND 2) Performing technical work in drafting portions of design work i.e., design calculations, equipment specifications and selection, and building and safety code verification.
