- Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance.
- Provides instructional leadership tailored to virtual students.
- Oversees the school climate to ensure it is supportive, structured, and conducive to academic growth, and that is engaging for virtual students.
- Oversees the design and implementation of virtual learning programs, ensuring they meet the academic needs of students who choose the virtual option.
- Provides human resource administration to maintain effective operations, including training in virtual instruction techniques for online educators.
- Oversees the staff evaluation process with attention to staff capacity for handling students in the virtual learning environment.
- Manages school operations, ensuring seamless integration of virtual learning technologies.
- Maintains strong communication and relationships with families, staff, and community organizations, ensuring a positive experience for virtual students.
- Ensures continual academic growth for virtual students.
- Maintains professionalism and fosters a cohesive, inclusive learning environment.
- Supports continual student achievement, emphasizing academic excellence for virtual students.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or District staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSMaster’s degree or above is required. Candidates must be certified in, or eligible for certification in educational leadership. Six (6) years of successful experience in education with 3 years in a school administrative leadership position required. School-based experience is required. Experience in urban schools is strongly desired. Training/experience in Personalized Learning and virtual instruction strongly desired. Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training that provides the required knowledge and abilities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Selects and retains staff experienced in or committed to working to deliver high-quality virtual instruction.
- Provides professional development opportunities that focus on personalized learning and virtual learning best practices.
- Demonstrates financial and operational acumen to manage the unique resources required for the virtual school environment.
- Communicates effectively with staff, students, families, and external partners to support learners.
- Upholds professional and ethical standards specific to managing a virtual school.
- Participates in continuous professional development to enhance leadership in virtual learning environments.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to obtain clearance certificate from GaPSC.
- GaPSC certification in Education Leadership – Tier II at L-5 or higher
- Possess or be willing to obtain Online Teaching Endorsement
Salary/Terms/Benefits:
- 225 day work year.
- Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Adopted Salary Schedule and position supplement(s).
