Job description: Interlaken, Inc is a Site and Utility Excavation firm seeking a full time Safety Manager Our office is located in West Gresham, with projects throughout the greater Portland/Metro area. Projects range in size from 100K to 10M and include a range of civil construction project types.We are looking for qualified applicants who are creative thinkers, self-motivators and impact-makers with a passion to help us shape a better environment for our clients and employees. Someone that values a team effort, who is a self starter, and is willing to go the extra mile to achieve success!QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ Years experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in the construction or excavation industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations.
- Ability to work both onsite and in an office environment.
- Preferred certifications CSP, ASP, OSHT, CHST, CIH, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all safety operations for the company and its jobsites.
- Spend approximately 50% of the time onsite and 50% in the office.
- Ensure all safety equipment is properly checked and maintained to safety standards.
- Monitor/enforce safety protocols onsite to follow company safety program and OSHA compliance.
- Assist in writing and implementing the company safety plan.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Provide safety training and education to employees.
- Investigate and report on incidents and near misses.
- Stay updated on industry safety standards and regulations.
- Assist with Claims Management
