Job description: Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide in-house legal services across the MENA region.Salary: up to 55k AED plus family benefitsLocation: Sharjah, UAEThe role encompasses corporate, commercial, construction, banking, employment, intellectual property, project finance, technology, litigation, and governance support. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted business advisor, offering strategic legal advice, mitigating risks, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, draft, and negotiate contracts, including JDAs, MOUs, NDAs, and term sheets.
- Support corporate transactions such as joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Advise on complex legal issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with senior management and external counsel.
- Handle contracts across diverse areas like IT, insurance, HR, and audit.
- Manage legal risk and ensure documentation accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized jurisdiction (Corporate/Commercial Law preferred).
- 8-10 years of post-qualification legal experience, including UAE exposure.
- Experience in corporate transactions within industries such as energy, capital, real estate, or facility management is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in English; Arabic skills are a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- International legal experience is a significant advantage.
Preferred Background:
- In-house corporate legal experience or from a top-tier law firm.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills.
