Take a look at our opportunities!Check out what the JOB is-LOOK-Job Summary:The Student Engagement Coach for our RECESS program plays a crucial role in supporting student engagement and providing enriching experiences for children in both structured school settings and after-school programs. This position combines the responsibilities of a student engagement coach during school hours providing opportunities for personal and academic growth in a variety of settings.Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Inspire and serve as a role model for students at all times
  • Teach brief leadership lessons and engage with students during class, lunch, and recess
  • Must have basic knowledge in navigating the google excel (or be willing to learn)
  • Assist in facilitating structured and unstructured activities during school hours, including recess, to promote student engagement and positive social interactions.
  • Support the implementation of behavioral expectations and guidelines to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for students.
  • Participate in activities aimed at fostering social-emotional skills, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and communication.
  • Build positive relationships with students, contributing to a sense of belonging and connectedness within the school community.
  • Assist in monitoring student behavior and providing support as needed to address conflicts and promote positive behavior.

Requirements:

  • Strong character with leadership skills and integrity
  • Must be willing to pass a background check and TB test
  • Ability to build strong connections with children and lead by example

  • A positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Reliable transportation
  • Availability during regular school hours (Monday – Friday)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or relevant experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of child development principles, behavior management techniques, and social-emotional learning strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the needs of diverse student populations.

  • Start date: Immediate Opening, throughout the 2024-2025 school year and beyond.
  • Compensation: $20 Per hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-1pm, onsite
