Operates a personal computer (PC) and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of civilian and military correspondence, spreadsheets, charts, reports and graphs, using a wide variety of software programs. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using PC network or links to other computers. Proofreads prepared correspondence and checks for completeness and conformance to applicable instructions and regulations. Collects, compiles and organizes information and data to meet administrative requirements.Screens incoming telephone calls, determining those, which can be answered, and those, which must be referred. Makes arrangements for meetings including space and time and notifies those who are to attend of the topics to be discussed. Establishes and maintains subject matter files and records. Arranges travel and transportation schedules as directed. Responsible for typing complex reports, spreadsheets, and directives from handwritten drafts or oral instructions in accordance with available guidelines and instructions by utilizing a personal computer and software programs. May assist in developing internal policies, procedures and work methods affecting administrative management operations. Responsible for overseeing a multitude of high visibility directives. Provides assistance in ensuring compliance by managers and supervisors by reviewing and revising studies, reports, correspondence for accuracy and format. Responsible for correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading of typed materials.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.Performs other related duties as assigned.RequirementsConditions of Employment

EVALUATIONS:QualificationsTwo years¿ experience that demonstrates broad knowledge of administrative practices and principles. Skill to organize and coordinate multiple high visibility projects simultaneously. Must have at least two years¿ experience working knowledge of a PC with peripheral equipment and Microsoft software or similar integrated software program. A working knowledge of word processing databases spreadsheets, and graphics utilization and implementation. Verifiable experience in the performance of a variety of clerical duties, such as typing, filing, record keeping, etc. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Must have the ability to deal with issues associated with military lifestyles.
