Job description: Physical Education Teacher – Providence Preparatory AcademyProvidence Preparatory Academy is a Christian, Classical, Collaborative-Model School now hiring passionate, professional, and skilled Physical Education teaching staff for the Grammar Level (K-5th grade) and Logic Level (6th-8th Grade). Due to the collaborative nature of Providence, all teaching positions are currently part-time. The PE teacher will be on campus 2 days/week.Responsibilities and DutiesInstruct students in a biblical worldview in word and deedInstruct students in the richness of your subjectCreate and execute lesson plansCommunicate effectively with parents (co-teachers) regarding student progress and satellite day assignmentsQualificationsThe following qualifications are required for any applicantA Christian exhibiting spiritual growth and involvement in one’s local churchA love for learning, a love of teaching, and a passion for inspiring students in similar pursuitsHold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or in a field related to the grade/course to be taught OR have equivalent curriculum, classroom, or industry experienceAbility to articulate the Gospel and integrate it into lessons and classroom cultureAbility to communicate effectively with parentsThe following qualifications are desired for all applicants, but not requiredProficiency in web-based school management softwareProficiency in Microsoft Office softwareCompensationTeacher salary is determined based on qualifications and experience. The rates are competitive with current pay rates for similar private education in the Wilmington Area. No health or retirement benefits are included at this time.Job Type: Part-time
Expected salary: $6000 – 6750 per month
