Job description: Responsibilities:Liaise with internal customers for clarification on purchase requirements and timelines.Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and assess their capabilities, quality, and pricing.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.Manage and navigate through various audits, inspections conducted by local internal and external bodies.Administer the day-to-day technical/administrative elements to ensure they meet all regulatory, business, strategic plans and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).Identify potential suppliers and maintain a supplier database, ensuring a diverse and reliable supply chain.Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals, budgets, and project requirements.Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to obtain favourable pricing and favourable contract terms.Work closely with project managers and finance teams to establish and adhere to budgets.Evaluate supplier performance regularly and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery and manage any delays or issues.Collaborate with project managers and production teams to ensure seamless coordination.Manage purchase orders for required materials, equipment, and services.Required Skills:Ability to manage a team of purchasers.Handle critical negotiations and liaise with the projects team for critical decisions.Experience in ship building and ship repairing industry.Data analysis and interpretation.Administration skillsIn-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supply chain management.Familiarity with marine-related materials, equipment, and services.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions.Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated commitment to the processes of continuous improvement and quality customer service

Expected salary: 18000 – 24000 per month
