Job description: The Procurement Officer for a Building Maintenance Company is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of materials and services required for building maintenance. This role ensures timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and quality compliance in line with project specifications and company standards.Key Responsibilities:Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors for building materials and Maintenance services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve the best value for the company.
Procurement Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the requirements of building maintenance
- Coordinate with facility management to understand maintenance needs and timelines.
Purchasing and Order Management:
- Process purchase orders for materials and services, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
- Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to procurement.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that procured materials and services meet quality standards and specifications.
Cost Management:
- Manage procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, including cost analyses, supplier performance, and maintenance status.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration,
- Two years’ experience in procurement of building Materials (MEP).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of materials, services, relevant to building maintenance.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with potential site.
- Full-time position with standard working hours, though flexibility may be required based on project needs.
