Job ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Responsibilities
- Develop the function’s strategy, policies and procedures in alignment with the organisational objectives and update it periodically as required to meet the changing needs of company.
- Work closely with the wider client management team to set and monitor joint KPIs with relevant functions and achieve desired outcomes
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits
- Coach, mentor and develop the team (i.e., direct and indirect reports) to help them achieve their career development plans and goals
- Empower the team to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Have a continuous feedback mechanism to ensure continuous improvement within the function
- Provide direction on the preparation and consolidation of the function’s annual budget in line with the organisational plans and objectives. This includes monitoring the budget and reporting on financial performance
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’ and changes in business environment and leveraging insights. This includes overseeing the related change management efforts
- Ensure that all organisational reports are completed in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner, and comply with regulatory and organisational requirements and standards
Role ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Approve comprehensive business development strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with client’s overall goals and objectives
- Approve client’s Go-To-Market strategy for international ventures including the identification and evaluation of opportunities for international investment and expansion in line with client’s Growth Strategy
- Review and validate market research and analysis activities to inform business development strategies and decision-making
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry influencers
- Approve proposals that highlight the client’s strengths and value proposition
- Approve identified partnership opportunities
- Represent client at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build brand awareness, generate leads, and create business opportunities
- Review and provide feedback on reports for business development activities, progress towards sales targets, and market trends
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Lead and oversee the M&A process, i.e., target identification, due diligence outputs, negotiations, post-merger integration
- Identify potential business opportunities for growth, through partnerships, new markets or merges and acquisitions
- Review and provide approvals of the financial viability of potential opportunities
- Review the performance of strategic sales activities (i.e., pipeline, progress against target/budget, etc.), ensuring performance deviations are resolved in a timely manner
- Oversee the M&A deal-cycle from end-to-end
- Review and approve mitigation strategies for any risks associated with international ventures, in liaison with the Legal function
- Build relationships with stakeholders in the international community including governments, international agencies, customers, and suppliers.
- Oversee partnerships with local and international major accounts, clients, and government entities
- Oversee and manage relationships with international ventures
Expected salary: 75000 – 90000 per year
