Job description: Key Responsibilities:
1.Manage media relations program; identify, develop, track and deliver on robust pipeline of stories for various media channels (print, digital, broadcast) including press releases, editorials, features, interviews, influencer outreach etc.
2.Work on relationship building with Tier 1 business and trade media across the region as well as fielding and handling media requests
3.Work with internal business teams (e.g. technology, production, commercial) and content writer to source quality information for PR/media opportunities
4.Preparation/drafting of high-quality written English/Arabic materials for use by stakeholders and for release to the media, customers and other influencers
5.Develop creative original storytelling material for pitching & media placement
6.Manage regional PR agencies to ensure execution of yearly/ quarterly / monthly deliverables as well as media audits to track metrics and performance of PR work
7.Manage digital outreach program through company’s various digital channels
8.Manage employee engagement program and initiatives to excite and energize employeesExperience
1.Minimum 3 – 4 years work experience in communications, preferably with PR communications agency
2.Experience with the Middle East media landscape and regional media/journalists is important to this role
3.Experience in delivering high quality communications programs and material/output, preferably including digital Comms, events, etc…
4.Must understand measurement techniques for media activities.
5.Familiarity with new social media and latest technologies in communication is a plusSkills & Knowledge:
1.Excellent level of spoken and written English and Arabic required
2.Ability to work independently and as part of a team
3.Individual must exhibit strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
4.Possess social media skills and digital know-how
5.Ability to juggle priorities and meet numerous deadlines; must possess superior organization
