Job description: POSITIONWater Sports TrainerThe Water Sports Trainer will work to ensure player will reach and maintain required fitness levels and ensure they have a safe, healthy and enjoyable training and playing environment.
Working conditions will be similar to a large holiday resort on the beach with a pool.LOCATIONAbu Dhabi UAE
The client will provide work visa and relocation if not localQUALIFICATIONS / LICENSES / SKILLS
- Relevant qualifications in Sports
- Experience in watersports, lifeguarding, sailing, and instruction
- Fluent in English
- First Aid Training highly regarded
- Bachelor in Physical Education
- 5 years of similar position experience
- Qualified Lifesaver
- License for jetski or boat
DUTIES
- Brief the trainee about the sports activity to be carried out
- Swimming/activities in the pool
- Jet ski & boating
- Wave machine/surfing & boogie boarding
- Canoeing/kayaking
- Fishing
- Playground area/zipline supervision.
- Ensure the trainee is appropriately dressed and equipped for the activity according to the risk assessment.
- Evaluating performance and providing suitable feedback with positivity and motivation.
- Assessing strengths and weaknesses in a trainee performance and identifying areas for further development.
- Adapting to the needs and interests of trainee.
- Demonstrating an activity by breaking the task down into a sequence.
- Encouraging trainee to gain and develop skills, knowledge and techniques.
- Working with IT-based resources to monitor and measure performance.
- Working to a high ethical standard at all times, particularly in relation to issues such as child safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
- Keep up to date with modern methods and techniques, especially in the area of the treatment, and rehabilitation, of injured player.
- Maintain report on player development.
- Ensure that all necessary team first aid equipment is available.
- The candidate will also need to ensure that children remain engaged and entertained while in their care
