Likely OTE based on 1 day per week = to 15k to 20k. Or 2 days per week = to 30k to 40k. Summary: Specialist clinicians who have expert knowledge and training in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders affecting children and young people, caring for patients from fetal life to 18 yrs.Qualifications & Experience:MUST have at least 10 yrs relevant experience as per advertised post.Holding MB BS or equivalentHolding MRCPCH or equivalentIdeally with Higher academic degree (MD or PhD)MUST hold DHA licence.MUST have NOC from employer to work in other clinics.MUST already be locally based with residency Visa.MUST have excellent English language communication skills.Ideally with specialist training in paediatric neurology.Ideally with training in Clinical Governance Involvement in Clinical AuditIdeally with awareness and experience of child protection processesIdeally with assessment of children with complex epilepsy using clinical, diagnostic, psychological and psychiatry for multiple impairments.Ideally with appropriate training in child resuscitation – APLS or equivalent.Primary Responsibility:Working in an outpatient setting / epilepsy clinic and general paediatric neurology clinic.Support paediatric colleagues in development and continuation of dedicated clinics for children newly presenting with paroxysmal events including epileptic seizures, neurodisability, acquired brain injury and brain tumoursProvide a consult service to support neurosurgical colleagues and other paediatric disciplines in the management of complex children with neurological disorders/symptoms.Provide advice to colleagues and families by phone and email as appropriate.Due to the number of applicants we receive, if you have not heard from us within 10 days please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
