The Project Engineer will be responsible for projects throughout all phases of the project cycle from contract award to the handover of plant to the client. These projects may vary in complexity, time and economic size, but in any case, it will be the duty of the project engineer to deliver the project according to the budget, schedule, scope and specifications together with meeting customer satisfaction.

Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, conferring with management.

Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.

Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.

Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

Assists in Project Control by reviewing design, specifications, plan and schedule changes, recommending actions to senior engineers or management.

Controls project costs by having expenditures approved by management, administering contractor contracts.

Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

Maintains safe and clean working environment.

Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Performs pre-approved engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.

Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.

Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.

Provides technical support for the engineering process.

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Works under immediate supervision.

Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Food Technology or similar.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar engineering role.
