Please find a brief description of the Material Handling / Forklift Operator role below:
- Understand and use the inventory programs in the warehouse locations system assuring all material controls and monitors utilization of overall warehousing.
- Utilize the picking list to pull materials required to supply manufacturing as well as fill shipping orders.
- Responsible for using odd lot inventory first.
- Transfers return stock when requested by QC.
- Participate in physical inventories.
- May be assigned other duties plant wide as time allows.
- Work effectively with Supervisor and Manager and coworkers in a team environment to develop multi-functional solutions for customers.
- Maintain a customer-focused perspective in all activities initiated to ensure that customer needs are successfully met.
- Develop professional and process expertise to provide improved service to customers.
- Perform job duties accurately so that other personnel and departments, and ultimately customers, receive correct information and/or product.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, and all ProAmpac – Auburn policies and procedures, as included in the employee handbook to ensure safety for self and fellow employees and to ensure behavior is appropriate in the workplace.
Wage Range: $21-$24 DOE + $1.50 night shift differential.

- Forklift experience required
- Must be able to work night shift
- EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY IS A MUST!
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant utilizing computers, dollies, forklift, hand-held measuring devices, hand tools, safety knives, packaging equipment, pallet jacks, and standard safety equipment (i. e. steel toe shoes, safety glasses and earplugs).
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
