- Ensure a clean and orderly environment in the clinic, including sanitizing medical equipment and exam rooms
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist medical professionals during procedures
- Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient charts accurately
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers and ensure proper dosage and patient understanding
- Perform various lab tests, such as urine and blood tests, and accurately record results
- Schedule patient appointments and manage insurance claims and patient billing
- Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and medication instructions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant training program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant required
- Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical laws and regulations, including HIPAA compliance
Expected salary: 5600 – 6200 per month
