Job description: We are looking for someone regarding the acquisition and maintenance of customers through building and managing relationships with clients in a variety of source markets. The position is based in Cape Town, but you will be required to travel monthly to Johannesburg for 1 week.RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To acquire and maintain customers for the Hotel in the Gauteng Region and elsewhere
- To assist the Sales Manager in creating, maintaining and growing a customer data base, broken down per segment and per region
- Research and new client development
- Cold calling, digital sales calls and face to face calls to potential and existing customers
- To host and attend travel related workshops for and on behalf of the Hotel
- To host client site inspections and meetings at the Hotel
- To compile weekly sales reports of all actions completed as well as actions planned for the next week
- To compile monthly client production reports, analyse existing business and set targets for growth to increase individual client production in either room nights or rate/revenue
GOALS:
- To grow overall occupancy, revenue and average room rates for the LBH through targeted sales actions to the various market segments
- To act as a brand ambassador for the LBH in every aspect of the job and to positively build the reputation of the LBH in the travel market through professional client engagement and providing an efficient service.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Proficient use of Office 365 suite including preparation of digital presentations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Marketing or Sales or Hotel Management or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a hospitality related sales position
- Competence in office software including outlook, word, excel and powerpoint
- Experience in Opera PMS Sales and Catering or other CRM software would be adventageous
