Job description: Your new roleWe have an exciting casual opportunity to join our Fleet Management Team in a modern and well-equipped workshop. The purpose of this role is to maintain Council plant and equipment to a level that will allow for maximum use, while remaining in a safe and road worthy condition. This role reports to Council’s Workshop Supervisor and is part of a team of 4 people. This is a temporary casual position for a period of 3-6 months to backfill a vacancy within our team based at our Operations Centre.This is a Band 4 classified role, casual rate will be $43.84 an hour – $46.70 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.What you will need to thriveThe key selection criteria for this role are:
- Qualified Motor Mechanic
- An understanding of current technology as it applies to this industry
- Ability to work safely and demonstrate safe work practices
- Ability to work independently
- Commitment to excellent customer service
