Your Role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Holy Spirit College, in the position of Maintenance Assistant, for an immediate commencement.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role performs daily maintenance tasks including, gardening and mowing, grounds beautification, rubbish collection, room and event set-up and other tasks as required. This position is full-time, 38 hours per week (6am-2pm).

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate:

  • Tolerance, maturity, patience and a capacity for self-organisation.
  • An ability to respond and adapt whilst operating in an environment which is often demanding and busy
  • Effective communication skills in order to speak with staff, students, parents, and visitors to the College
  • A capacity for tact and discretion and an ability to maintain confidentiality

Mandatory Requirements

  • A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
