About The Role:
The Project Lead – Diversity and Inclusion will play a pivotal role in advancing Bendigo Kangan Institute’s commitment to social justice. You will manage a specific project tasked with building the capability of Non-School Senior Secondary and Foundation Secondary Teachers in the areas of First Nations pedagogies, cultural safety, child safety, neurodiversity and Autism. You will have high quality project and stakeholder management skills and thrive in an autonomous environment. Working as part of a team where it is safe to bring your lived experience of inequality or marginalisation, you will quickly form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to communicate influentially both interpersonally and in writing will support you to succeed in this role. With your experience project managing time sensitive Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, your new colleagues are looking forward to receiving your application.
We are excited about you because you have:
- Capability in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating D&I Plans, and fulfilling reporting obligations using qualitative and quantitative data.
- High level change, project and stakeholder management experience and consultation skills that support and improves social justice outcomes.
- An understanding of social justice principles and ability to integrate an intersectional approach into the design, delivery, and evaluation of programs.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in EDIB, including knowledge of D&I priority areas (First Nations, anti-racism, disability, culture, gender equity, LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity).
- Experience in designing and facilitating workshops and training and/or coaching.
- Innovative and creative communication skills, adept at supporting workplace activities through progressive and effective communication, tools and resources.
