We’re looking for an Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Linesperson to join our team located in Emerald.

Remuneration:
- Electrical Fitter Mechanic from $101,800 per annum + 12.75% superannuation
- Linesperson from $97,006 per annum + 12.75% superannuation
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.
Location Incentives:
- Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $3,000 per annum.
- Housing Allowance – up to $17,420 per annum.
- Locality Allowance – up to $1,640 per annum.
- Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments – $5,000 after 2 years and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we’ll pay you $5,000 at each milestone.
- Relocation Assistance – up to $10,000 to assist you with your move.

About the role:
As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
- Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.
As a Linesperson, you will:
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson,
- Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.
About you:
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Availability for call out and emergency work.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
- Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
Additionally having experience in customer connections, customer relationships and the provision of metering activities would be an advantage.
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
