Job description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our inventory to optimize stock levels and ensure efficient supply chain operations.
As an Inventory Planner, your main objective will be to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and develop strategies to maintain optimal stock levels. You will collaborate with various teams, including purchasing, sales, and logistics, to gather data and analyze trends in order to make accurate and informed inventory decisions. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control processes and systems to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Responsibilities
- Forecast demand and create accurate inventory plans to meet customer needs
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust replenishment strategies as necessary
- Analyze and interpret sales data, market trends, and customer forecasts to make informed inventory decisions
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to gather data and develop inventory strategies
- Implement and maintain inventory control processes and systems to ensure accurate stock counts and minimize discrepancies
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply issues
- Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators, such as stock turnover and fill rate, to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- Proven experience in inventory planning or related roles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Expected salary: 5500 – 6000 per month
