Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A,) – Level 5 of EBA5 * 9 day fortnight

  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, including working on site and work from home days.

About our opportunity

Our Engineering Surveyors work on site across the City of Moreton Bay completing complex engineering surveys, and geodetic, engineering, topographic, hydrographic and asset data collection surveys for planning, design.

You’ll be the responsible specialist surveyor within the team providing technical guidance, direction and training within the team, expert operation of specialised surveying instruments and specialised Surveying CAD software applications.

The survey team work from home and on site, and are welcome to work in the Strathpine office with the broader Asset Management team.

About you

Bring your experience of geodetic, engineering, topographic, hydrographic and asset data collection surveys, as well as knowledge and application of relevant legislation and statutory requirements, as well as:

  • high level mathematical skills to undertake complex data calculations.
  • experience and expertise using survey equipment, instruments and specialised survey CAD systems.
  • great time management skills
  • experience providing technical guidance, direction and training within the team.
  • strong people and relationship management skills to work in a positive team environment.

A current C class driver’s licence is required, and General Induction Licence (White Card) is required (or willing to obtain at your expense).

The following qualifications/skills are highly regarded, but not mandatory:

  • Associate degree or Degree in Spatial Science Technology (Surveying)
  • Registration with Surveyors Board of QLD would be highly regarded (non-mandatory).
  • Ability to operate a Remote Pilot Aircraft.
